Versatile in many forms of music making, David has performed regularly as a solo pianist, He received his undergraduate degree in Piano Performance from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston and did his graduate work in composition, film scoring and electronic music at both San Jose State University and DVC in Concord, CA. David has performed throughout the USA and Europe. 

 

David has released several recordings and singles throughout his carer, most significant being “Beginning The Journey” featuring all of his own original piano compositions and improvisations and the Liszt’s piano transcription of Beethoven’s 6th Symphony, “The Pastoral”.

 

David has recently produced a provocative music video titled "Breaking Out" that features a tumultuous piano improvisation and intense film images and has become an award winner at various film festivals around the world.

 

David has also collaborated with pianist Francis Martineau and has produced four 4 hand piano improvisation albums to date. David also co-produced a movie with pianist Justin Levitt called “Bootleg The Movie” that features 20+ short videos of their 4 hand piano improvisations that took place between the years 2010-20. 

 

For the past 30+ years, David has been teaching piano privately in the cities of Piedmont, Oakland and Berkeley.
